What is it?
Clinical Psychology is a health specialty within the sphere of Psychology whose onset as professional activity as exercised by psychologists is over one hundred years old. It appeared as a result of the collection of accumulated scientific knowledge about the nature of mental and physical disorders and illnesses that affect people, their theoretical and technical nature, and the need to respond to a broad set of social and scientific demands in the field of human health and disease. Its applications are multiple and in different fields.

Dra. Alejandra Hallin Corcuera
Psiquiatra
Licenciada en Medicina y Cirugía por la Universidad de Navarra, se especializó en Psiquiatría en el hospital de Bellevue en Nueva York. En 1996, se traslada a la Universidad de Harvard (EEUU) donde realizó la especialización de Psiquiatría Infantil, estudió un Máster de Salud Pública y obtuvo el título de Psiquiatra Forense. Una vez terminados los estudios en dicha universidad, fue nombrada directora del Servicio de Salud Mental del sistema escolar de Boston y ejerció como profesora de Psicofarmacología Infantil de la Facultad de Medicina de la Universidad de Harvard.
Alejandra Hallin ha publicado trabajos sobre temas psiquiátricos como la drogadicción, la depresión o la enfermedad bipolar, en revistas científicas estadounidenses. Es co-autora de Diagnosis and Psychopharmacology in Childhood and Adolescent Disorders (John Wiley & Sons, 1996).
Actualmente se dedica a la Psiquiatría privada en la ciudad de Marbella y Sotogrande, como también ejerce la Psiquiatría intra-hospitalaria en Marbella.
Dra. Priscíla Alarcón
Psicología
Licenciada en Psicología por la Universidad de Málaga desde el año 2012. Ya durante su etapa universitaria viene trabajando con la asociación Adaner (Asociación en Defensa de la Atención a la Anorexia Nerviosa y Bulimia) encargada de tratar a personas que padecen trastornos de la conducta alimentaria, en su mayoría, anorexia, bulimia nerviosa y trastorno por atracón.
Colabora desde 2012 con la asociación Artaban (Espacios de Acompañamiento Terapéutico), donde amplía sus conocimientos con respecto a las terapias grupales con personas que están pasando, entre otros, por un proceso de enfermedad, duelo, ansiedad o depresión.
Convencida de que un buen profesional nunca deja de formarse, ha completado cursos, jornadas y congresos sobre diversos aspectos de la psicología: trastornos de la conducta alimentaria, sexualidad, terapias de tercera generación, discapacidad auditiva, dislexia, etc.
Ha colaborado además en la creación del libro “Guía de interpretación y evaluación de casos clínicos con el PAI (Inventario de Evaluación de la Personalidad)”.
Habla español e inglés y desde el año 2015 pertenece al equipo del Centro Médico Dra. Hallin.
Dra. Sensi Collado

Especialista en Trastornos de la Tercera Edad y en Psicología Infantil – Juvenil
Sensi es licenciada en Psicología por la Universidad de Málaga desde el año 2001. Cuenta con un Master en Psicología Infantil y otro Master en Sanitario de Práctica Clínica, además de diferentes Cursos en Rehabilitación Cognitiva Gradior, Alzaheimer y Atención al Menor.
Ha desarrollado su carrera profesional como psicóloga en consulta privada y como Psicóloga- Formadora desde el año 2010 para los Cuerpos de Seguridad del Estado.
Igualmente, ha trabajado como Psicóloga en Talleres de Memoria para Enfermos de Alzheimer.
Dra. Cristina Alcázar

Director of the Psychopharmacology Department of Hallin Mental Care and the Hospital Admissions Service.
Cristina Alcazar was born in Torredonjimeno (Jaen) in 1986. Graduated at the Faculty of Medicine in Malaga in 2010. She studied one year’s medicine at the Comenius University in Bratislava (Slovakia) where she became interested in psychiatry.
Later she specialized in psychiatry at the Malaga Regional Hospital, ending in 2015. During the specialization she showed great interest in first psychotic episodes and prodromal phases of psychosis, carrying out training in different centers of great international prestige such as the “Orygen Youth Health” in Melbourne (Australia) and PAFIC (the assistance program for the initial phases of psychosis) in the University Hospital of Marques de Valdecilla (Santander).
She has participated in different clinical studies at both national and european level.
She moved to Sweden in January 2016 looking for new professional experiences where she worked at Skaraborg hospital belonging to the Swedish Public Health Service, for four years. There she worked in the Lidköping Mental Health Unit for 2 years, dealing above all, with affective problems and then later for 2 years at the Neuropsychiatry Unit in Skövde. At this unit she deepened her knowledge about ADHD and autism in adults by doing a multitude of training courses and going to different congresses and conferences.
At the beginning of 2020 she moves to Malaga and joins the team at Dra Hallin Medical Centre.
